Recently Apple introduced their application called FaceTime which is associated with iPhone and iPod products of the company. Here you can make video calls between iPhone and iPod touch users which requires a front facing camera attached with the phones or other devices. However, this has limited the usage of FaceTime as video calls not possible with phones that do not have front face camera.
However, there is possibility that Apple may introduce FaceTime, video conferencing software that runs on both Mac and PC. This will surely change the scenario as Mac and PC users will able to connect with iPhone and iPod users and other PC or Mac users as well.
It would be interesting to find how Apple fare themselves in online video conferencing arena, which is still now vastly dominated by Skype. Based on capability that Apple has, it is sure to generate buzz among online video conference users. Apple already has its own video conferencing within their iChat messaging that comes along with OS X.
